Torii Hunter and a Diamond Ring

Why did I wake up so early?  I have the first final of my week at 8 o'clock and I need to leave at 7:15.  I woke up at 6:35.  6:35!  Why?  Rather than waste my time sitting around cramming for my test, I decided that while it's still fresh I'll share the dream I had last night with you...

I had a dream that I was on my way to Country Cupboard to work, and for some reason I was late.  I got there and was all out of sorts.  I was supposed to be in my uniform, but my bowtie was missing, and I had grabbed a black button-up instead of a white button up (So easy to confuse the two).  I came rushing back through the kitchen in a frenzy; all out of sorts.  I saw my one supervisor (who I will keep nameless) and started freaking out.  "Hey, I'm so late and I don't know what to do and everything's wrong and--and--and--..."
"Ben, it's okay.  Here, take this."  She handed me a diamond ring that was about five sizes too big for my finger.  And she walked away.  I didn't know what to do with it.  Even though it was a girl's ring, I felt obliged to wear it, but it obviously didn't fit on my hand.  Then, I remembered that it just so happened that today, out of all day's, I put my green chain necklace around my neck.  I threaded the ring on there.
All of a sudden, I was back at home in the front driveway having a spat with my brother.  He was trying to convince me of something, but I wasn't listening.  "Alright, you just figure out whatever you want to do.  In the meantime, I'm going down to watch the Little League games at Brown Avenue."
When I arrived, I was milling throughout the crowd of people watching the games when I saw the Angel's right fielder, Torii Hunter wearing a Phillies uniform.  "Dude, you've been on fire lately!  Props to taking the whole team, putting them in a bag and carrying them on your back the past few games."
"Yeah man.  I did..."  And he walked away.  Apparently, he was the best communicator.  I found him sitting at a picnic table all by himself, so I went over and sat down with him.  I began to ask him questions, like, "How is the team handling Pujols' struggle?"  And as he answered them, he drew quite a crowd.  He suddenly began to debate me in the topic of spiritual warfare, and then asked his youth pastor who brought him to the Little League games in the first place about music.  "Hey, who's that rapper that I really like?  The one with the weird name.  I've been listening to him for a long time.  You know who I'm talking about?"
"Oh, you mean Lecrae?"
"Yeah, that's him.  Dude, all the kids these days are into him, but I tell you what, I've been listening to him since before he got big.  I guess everyone else is hipster."
"You know, I don't normally come to the Little League games like these, I've been out of baseball so long."  I said, changing subject.
Out of nowhere, a Little League mom appeared right next to me and said, "This might help" as she handed me an electronic baseball scorekeeper.  Every single player, every single game.  All their stats.  The thing was HUGE for a handheld device.

And that's when I woke up.
In retrospect, maybe I should email Torii Hunter and ask him about Lecrae.  See if he's been listening to him for as long as he says.  Hmm.  Fan mail.
